Graduation is an inseparable and ancient part of the education process. It has its own set of rituals and traditions, one of which is the graduation dinner. Finding a suitable restaurant in Merced can be difficult, but there is at least one acceptable establishment: the Branding Iron, a western-themed steak house. Located on 16th Street between M and N, it fits the bill fairly nicely, provided that one is interested in eating large amounts of American-style meat courses.
